I cannot agree with you there man. Like Blue said, it is about pairings. Only 1 CD team played and it played a #1 seed, while both LPD teams played #2 seeds.

Top to bottom, the CD is much stronger than the LPD or BDD this year in basketball.

it would be nice to pair up teams better in the region tournaments. one #1 seed always gets screwed.

Well, it will be a little more even next year to a degree with the 4th district coming into the region.

Not so sure about that. JJK had another rough year, but handled TS. I know it was just a scrimmage, but JJK stifled them defensively.

TS started the year out playing terrible IMO.. They improved a lot throughout the year and Kelly would not beat them now.

    Re: Burton vs Honaker Score...

Look..I never said RC and SP were no good. All I was sayin is I expect the same ol song and dance from the cumberland this year as well. One team dominate..get to state..and choke. This region isn't very strong in basketball when compared to the other regions. Saying you are the best region d basketball team is like sayin you have the best team in football because you win the arena football championship. Really, TS split with PV this year...and if i remember correctly, even though TS was having an off year, folks on the cumberland board kept on about them bein the tournament dark horse..etc, etc. Top to bottom, the cumberland is about the same as any other district I think. But then again, like i've said before..I'd just as soon watch paint dry as watch b-ball..lol.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....

    Re: Burton vs Honaker Score...

They were the tourny dark horse because they were the 4 seed.

Region D isn't that bad at bball as people around here seem to think. B, as with most sports and due to enrollment tends to dominate basketball at the state level, but A and D are even, and C has been way behind D for quite a few years.

    Re: Burton vs Honaker Score...

When I look at state titles (where it counts), Region D has been outclassed for years. Proof's in the pudding. Until someone from region d goes up the road and brings back somethin besides a runner up trophy, there is nothing to crow about. Since 1975, Council and TS have won 1 each. And that is it for region d. TS's was 14 years ago and Councils 6 years ago. Like I said..not much to crow about. All the talk about the cumberland when TS has their only b-ball state championship...rediculous. Better results when the heat is on might change my opinion...but not til then.

    Re: Burton vs Honaker Score...

Thats why I said B has everyone outclassed. Since 00, you barely find a C team that has made it to the Final Four compared to region D. The same could almost be said for A due to playing B in the sub state games.
